Black and white portrait of Mitchell Arend, Filmmaker and videographer, with long hair and glasses holding a camera.

Growing up in a small town I had a lot of artistic hobbies and dreamed of how I could turn one of my passions into a career. Whether it was writing, drawing, music, or theatre - I loved telling a great story.

I think I may have gravitated toward film and video because it combines the best of all the creative things I love! It also connects to an audience like no other medium can.

After moving to Toronto, Ontario, and graduating from the School of Image Arts at Toronto Metropolitan University I applied my passion professionally for the global company Franklin Templeton Investments managing their video production across Canada.

Throughout that time, I never stopped developing my own creative projects, be it short and feature films or writing and performing music.

This ultimately led to the creation of my production company Silent Partner Pictures and we’ve since built a strong client base developing branded and creative content.

I reload my own creativity by heading into nature as often as I can. Adventures had camping, canoeing, or cottaging quickly refill my tank and give me the energy to keep telling great stories.
